Samantha Stosur Girlfriend? Well, you were right, Justine.  Sam does have big, heavy, balls.  After destroying Justine in the second set 61, it looked as though Sam might go away in that third set.  She jumped out to a break lead only to have Justine break back immediately and it looked as though the forehand that had been shredding Justine all match had gone away.  I was ready to pack up and go back to bed.  It’s not that I didn’t have faith in Sam, but this is exactly what happened in the third set of their match in Stuttgart.  Ok, yeah, I didn’t have faith in Sam.  I’m sorry, Sam.  I feel really bad about that.

Serving at 3-4, Sam would have two mishits that got two loud “Allez!” that even bugged the shit out Mary Carillo.  Now, I’m not saying that this was the turning point of the match, but Sam did seem to right her forehand and serve right after those two points.  After Sam was able to hold after being down 0-30, it seemed as though Justine tightened up.  She would double fault to give Sam break point, then missed a backhand to give Sam the break, and Sam would serve out the match, but not before double faulting on her first match point, because, well, she’s still Sam.  And then, HOLY SHIT THAT JUST HAPPENED happened.

Needless to say, an awesome win for Sam, who snapped Justine’s 24 match win streak at RG.  Next up, Serena.  YOU CAN DO IT, SAM!
